Adventure #7: Snowtubing
On Tuesday, I went snowtubing with two other friends, and as usual, we had to walk a bit to get there. But it was so definitely worth it. I hadn't thought the slope would be so steep, but it is quite, and though it felt like we might have flown into the river, we didn't. Definitely worth a go (and many more) if snowtubing is available where you are.
Then on Wednesday, we went to Candy Cane Lane, which is basically eight blocks of houses decorated for the holidays. My expectations were pretty high since I had heard such great things about it, but it mildly met my expectations. There was definitely some impressive decorations, but most were normal and some really disappointing (i.e. no decorations whatsoever).
So my winter break is officially over. Had my first day back at school today, let's bring it!
And then we went to Churchill Square for the New Year countdown and fireworks. Never again. The place was PACKED, with only inches of space to move. I'd rather stay in and watch a movie, like I've been doing for the past few years thank you very much. But I guess since it was my first New Year's abroad and with friends, it was nice to experience it. And now that I have, never again. Plus the fireworks were all right. Some were pretty pathetic, but there were some nice ones too.
